چکیده

Abstract The aim of this article is to investigate the effect using reactive powder concrete (RPC) for reinforcement deep beams (CDBs) study shear by numerical analysis. method finite element analysis model simulations a program was used. characteristics RPC and beam reinforced were obtained from previous scientific research. Non-linear two models beams, one with other without it, conducted compare experimental results recent tests loaded until failure. data specimens have many factors related strength action CDBs such as load deflection, crack pattern, mode failure, strength. On hand, mesh changing investigated in terms maximum running time size 50, 25, 15. Models simulated two-point span-to-depth an av/d ratio 0.77. difference percentage deflection between models’ observed at 2.60 5.9% beam, respectively, 2.27 5.40%. importance outputs lies bridging research gap new topic identifying behavior due lack topic. It noted that are very consistent laboratory research, while error rate did not exceed 10%.

Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System Models for Predicting the Shear Strength of Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams

A reinforced concrete member in which the total span or shear span is especially small in relation to its depth is called a deep beam. In this study, a new approach based on the Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is used to predict the shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC) deep beams. A constitutive relationship was obtained correlating the ultimate load with seven mechanical a...

Hysteretic Behavior of Conventionally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams in Reinforced Concrete Coupled Shear Wall

This paper presents the experimental results of four full-scale coupling beams in which only horizontal reinforcements are placed, without diagonal reinforcements, with the aim to develop reinforcement details for coupling beams used in connecting side walls in a wall-slab structural system. Each coupling beam specimen was designed according to the deep-beam design procedure that does not use d...

Development of Shear Capacity Equations for Rectangular Reinforced Concrete Beams

The problem of shear is not yet fully understood due to involvement of number of parameters. Designers are extra careful about shear, especially in beams and consequently higher safety factors are used in shear design. Several equations are available in literature to determine the shear capacity of beams, i.e. ACI equation, Zsutty equation and KIM & White equation. To verify the application of ...

Shear-friction truss model for reinforced concrete beams

This paper presents a new model, called the "shear-friction truss model," for slender reinforced concrete beams to derive a clear and simple design equation for their ultimate shear strength. In this model, a portion of the shear strength is provided by shear reinforcement as in the traditional truss model, and the remainder by the shear-friction mechanism. Friction resistance is derived consid...
